Join Wingspan for a joyful summer celebration at our Love Leads Carnival & Art Fair, a special event that brings together creativity, music, community, and fun in support of people with developmental disabilities.
This festive afternoon will feature Wingspan’s “Love Leads” client parade, live music, games, and special visits from therapy llamas. Guests will also have the opportunity to explore and purchase art created by Wingspan clients alongside artwork from local artists, celebrating creativity and supporting inclusive artistic expression in our community.
Your presence helps support Wingspan’s programs and the individuals we serve, while creating a vibrant gathering where families, neighbors, and supporters can connect and celebrate together.

What to Expect
The event will feature live music by Pan-Handlers Steel Drum Band from 10 to 11 am and M.T. Pockets and Loose Change from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.
Wingspan’s “Love Leads” client parade, led by COMPAS teaching artist Christopher Lutter-Gardella, will take place from 11:30 to 11:45 am, celebrating the creativity and spirit of our community. Bring your lawn chairs if you’d like to sit and enjoy the parade!
Guests can also enjoy MN Nice Cream from 11 am to 2 pm, a live performance by TaikoArts Midwest from 1 to 1:30 pm, and photo opportunities with Llama Mama MN Therapy Llamas from 12:30 to 2 pm.
Throughout the event, visitors can enjoy carnival games and browse a community art market featuring artwork created by Wingspan clients as well as pieces from talented local artists. Purchasing artwork is a wonderful way to support inclusive creative opportunities while taking home something unique.
Parking Information
Parking will be available at 251 Starkey St. in the Bolander Construction lot. Please note that the road will be closed from 11:30 to 11:45 am for the parade, so guests should plan ahead.
