Join Wingspan for a joyful summer celebration at our Love Leads Carnival & Art Fair, a special event that brings together creativity, music, community, and fun in support of people with developmental disabilities.
This festive afternoon will feature Wingspan’s “Love Leads” client parade, live music, games, and special visits from therapy llamas. Guests will also have the opportunity to explore and purchase art created by Wingspan clients alongside artwork from local artists, celebrating creativity and supporting inclusive artistic expression in our community.
Your presence helps support Wingspan’s programs and the individuals we serve, while creating a vibrant gathering where families, neighbors, and supporters can connect and celebrate together.

What to Expect
The event will feature live music by Pan-Handlers Steel Drum Band and M.T. Pockets and Loose Change with Eagan HS Band.
Wingspan’s “Love Leads” client parade will take place from 11:30 to 11:45 am, celebrating the creativity and spirit of our community. The parade will feature work created during the Homemade Parade residency with COMPAS teaching artist Christopher Lutter-Gardella and the Moving Art Contraptions residency with COMPAS teaching artist Jan Elftmann. Guests will also enjoy giant puppets, a stilt walker, music, and plenty of color and creativity along Starkey Street.
Throughout the day, visitors can browse an art fair featuring artwork created by Wingspan clients as well as pieces from local artists. Guests can also enjoy carnival games.
Bring your lawn chairs if you’d like to sit along Starkey Street and enjoy the parade!
Parking Information
Free parking will be available at the Bolander Construction parking lot at 251 Starkey St. and the parking lot across the street from Bolander. Parking attendants will be available to help direct traffic.
The carnival will take place in Wingspan’s Plato parking lot, and the parade will take place on Starkey Street, the street adjacent to the Wingspan building.
Please note that Starkey Street and access to the above listed free parking lots will be closed from 11:30 to 11:45 am during the parade. Guests should plan to arrive before 11:30 am or after the parade ends.
Food Vendors
Food and treats will be available for purchase throughout the event.
MN Nice Cream and Red’s Savoy Pizza will be available from 11 am to 2 pm. A Little This & A Little That will be selling baked goods from 10 am to 2 pm.
