Leadership Team

Therese Davis, Executive Director

Since joining Wingspan in 1977, Therese has been an integral part of Wingspan’s growth and programming expansion in service to adults with developmental and other disabilities.  Through the years, Therese has served in many different capacities—from direct care to Operations—and her responsibilities include direction and oversight for 26 group homes in the Residential Program as well as our “Harmony House” crisis respite home, our In-Home Program for those living with family or independently, the Three Directions Program for clients looking for work, volunteer opportunities or social interaction, and oversight of a number of peer support programs. In addition to Human Resources responsibilities and training oversight for some 170+ full-time and part-time employees plus an additional 90 on-call employees, Therese’s role encompasses responsibility for Finance, Operations, Resource Development, and Board Recruitment.  Although her degree in Human Services informs her work, it is her depth of one-on-one experience in serving adults with disabilities, combined with her connection to families, case managers, and social workers, physicians and therapists, that has made her one of the disability community’s most ardent advocates—both for those being served and for direct support professionals.

She has served on many committees within Wingspan and of outside the organization, Including ARRM. In February of 2018, in partnership with Metro Crisis Coordination Program (MCCP), she opened Harmony House, Wingspan’s first crisis respite home. The crisis program provides short-term transitional care and strives to get the best supports in place along with stabilization for clients who have experiencing higher challenges at a particular time in their life and needs behavioral and medication intervention.  In 2021, she was promoted to Director of Specialized Services.  In her new role, Camille will continue to support Harmony along with development of long-term Specialized Community Supports to include Hope House, providing specialized housing & supports for adults with significant behavioral challenges that have not found success in their long-term placement.
