Therese Davis, Executive Director

Since joining Wingspan in 1977, Therese has been an integral part of Wingspan’s growth and programming expansion in service to adults with developmental and other disabilities. Through the years, Therese has served in many different capacities—from direct care to Operations. Her responsibilities include direction and oversight for 33 group homes in the Residential Program as well as our In-Home Program for those living with family or independently. In addition to Human Resources responsibilities and training oversight for some 260 full-time and part-time employees, Therese’s role encompasses responsibility for Finance, Operations, Resource Development, and Board Recruitment.  Although her degree in Human Services informs her work, it is her depth of one-on-one experience in serving adults with disabilities, combined with her connection to families, case managers, and social workers, physicians and therapists, that has made her one of the disability community’s most ardent advocates—both for those being served and for direct support professionals.

Our Nurse
Stacy joined Wingspan in 2013. She received a degree in Family Social Science from the University of Minnesota and an Associate of Science, Nursing degree from Anoka-Ramsey Community College. Stacy provides nursing consultation and visits to the majority of our group homes and reviews all appointments, medications, health progress notes and makes recommendations. She also checks in with clients and does necessary screenings for medication side effects. This is also a good opportunity to provide ongoing training to HCs. She also teaches medication administration class to new hires including site specific training (i.e. blood sugar, ostomies). Stacy collaborates with Program Directors (PDs) and House Coordinators (HCs) on admissions, re-admissions from hospitals or nursing homes, and hospice care. She is also a resource for them when they have questions from family members or guardians regarding a medical issue. Stacy assists the PDs and HCs with our computerized charting system, helping them to add any new procedures or protocols ordered by doctors. Stacy’s super power:  "I can read Hospital Discharge paperwork like nobody's business!"
